Date of Birth: Saturday 7/17
Time of Birth: 3:57 pm
Weight and Length: 6 pounds 8 ounces, 19 inches
About 30 seconds old here. Henry was born via C-section after 36 hours of very difficult, mostly unmedicated labor. I
was about to lose my mind when they said C-section. Mandy had a calm settle over her as they prepped her for surgery and was
cool as could be.
The docs let me see the baby first so that I could be the one to tell Mandy whether we had a Henry or a Henrietta (not
that we would ever name a child that.)

These three are at about 30 minutes old. They immediately let Mandy breast feed him and then she was off to recovery.
Henry had to go to the nursery but I was allowed to tag along. I sat with him and read him a Vanity Fair cover to cover. When
I was done, he had a look on his face that said, "I can't believe this George Bush guy is my president."
and dont worry the purple markings are just iodine from his severed umbilical cord. My Mom (who has asked that she be
called Wonder Woman instead of grandmaw or anything like that) initially thought it was a birthmark or injury and was
very upset.

These next four pics are some that I took taday at one week old. Weve so far had extremely good nights and extremely
bad nights- none in between.
